Buying a house is a significant investment, and it is important to consider several factors before making a purchase. Navarre is a beautiful city with a growing real estate market, and it is crucial to understand the factors that can impact your investment. The following are eight factors that you should consider when buying a house in Navarre.

What type of person would be a good fit in Navarre?

Navarre is a beautiful city with a growing community, and a variety of amenities and attractions, making it a great place to live for many different types of people. A good fit in Navarre would depend on personal preferences, lifestyle, and priorities. However, here are some of the common traits and characteristics of people who may find Navarre a good fit:

1. Families: Navarre has a family-friendly atmosphere, with excellent schools, parks, and recreational facilities, making it a great place for families.

2. Outdoor Enthusiasts: Navarre is surrounded by natural beauty, with access to the Gulf of Mexico, state parks, and nature trails, making it an ideal place for people who enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, and hiking.

3. Retirees: Navarre is a peaceful and relaxing place, with a warm climate and a low cost of living, making it an attractive place for retirees.

4. Young Professionals: Navarre is a growing city with a growing job market, making it a great place for young professionals who are starting their careers.

5. Beach Lovers: Navarre is located along the Gulf of Mexico, and is home to several beautiful beaches, making it an ideal place for people who love the beach and water activities.

What to Expect from Navarre?

Navarre is Old Florida living. It's very laid-back. You have beautiful, untapped beaches, some of the whitest beaches in the country, with less development on very low-density beaches. And then, you mix. When you go inland, you go into open country and you have a lot of outdoor activities that you can partake in, whether it be inshore fishing or hiking. There are different streams. You get all of this as well as a very robust military community.

Type of People to Live There

The type of people that thrive in Navarre would be people that really do enjoy getting out into Mother Nature and have a really strong sense of community - there's a really strong sense of military community in that area. It's great for families as well as there's a great school system there. So that's really the type of person and the type of environment that Navarre offers.

I would say the schools and white sand beaches would be a great benefit of living in Navarre. Are there other benefits that you would like to point out for someone living in Navarre?

Excellent Location

Yeah, Navarre is fairly close. It's just far enough away from downtown Pensacola and Pensacola Beach to escape the busyness, if you will, of those markets, but close enough to enjoy and access the hubbub of all that's going on in there.

Affordability

Another beautiful thing about Navarre is that it's a little more affordable. So you can get in there, into that market at a lower cost, and it opens it up to a wider variety of people.

What are some tips or do you have any tips for someone that would be trying to buy a home in Navarre?

Get With a Local Realtor

Get With a Local Realtor

I don't want to sound cheesy, but first and foremost, you would definitely want to get with an incredible local realtor who truly knows and understands that market because each piece of land in any market, each home has different attributes to it and it can greatly change the value of the home.

Other Things to Take Into Account

Elevation

Some tips and things to keep your eye on are the height at which your home sits. There are many homes that are totally out of, if you will, flood zones but build your home up where, even when there are rains that take place, it's not flooding into your backyard. So elevation of your home matters.

Type of Construction

We are in Florida. There's wind-driven rain. There are hurricanes. There are different elements that we have to deal with here. So the type of construction that you have means everything. Certain products handle those conditions better than others. So definitely, look at construction quality, construction materials, and elevation of your home.

Location, Location, Location

Simply put, real estate is all about location, location, location. Even within as small of an area as Navarre is, there are more valuable pieces of land than others. That can be dependent on how close you are to a school or how close you are to an exit, to a major thoroughfare, really the view plane that you have, or underground utilities. It can vary widely. But the easiest way for the end consumer, for somebody who doesn't do this each and every day, is to really vet their real estate agent that they're going to be relying heavily on.

So then, do you have any final thoughts or anything else that you feel would be really important for the reader to know?

Burgeoning Market

Yeah, I mean, Navarre is one of our burgeoning markets, I would say. It is still very, very affordable with all of the beautiful lifestyle that you actually expect when you move to Florida.

Constant Clientele in the Form of the Military People

On top of that, from an investment perspective, you have all of this military clientele that a lot of times need to rent. So there's a huge opportunity there to have consistent renters for that area if you're looking to buy income-producing properties.
