Moving to a new area can be difficult for sports fans. How will you watch your favorite teams play anymore? But if you know where to look, you can find a new set of teams to watch and root for. And in Pensacola, our real estate agents know where to look. There are all sorts of games you can attend, in sports ranging from baseball to basketball to hockey to sailing and more. Here are some of the most exciting sports to watch in the Pensacola area.

  • Ice Flyers - 201 E. Gregory St. Rear, Pensacola, FL 32502
If you love hockey, you'll want to check out the Ice Flyers. Part of the Southern Professional Hockey League, they play a 56-game regular season, with 28 of those games at the Pensacola Bay Center. No matter whom they're playing, their games are always fun and some of the best sports entertainment you'll find near Pensacola homes for sale.

  • Blue Wahoos - 351 W. Cedar St., Pensacola, FL 32502
If you've never been to a minor league baseball game, you owe it to yourself to check out the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. The Miami Marlins' affiliate team plays at Admiral Fetterman Field. Audio of their away games can be streamed live on their website, but when they're at home, you can't beat seeing them play in person.

  • Five Flags Speedway - 7451 Pine Forest Road, Pensacola, FL 32526
There are auto races to watch throughout the year at the Five Flags Speedway. In spring, there are the Allen Turner Pro races for late-model vehicles. In summer, check out the Deep South Cranes race in the Blizzard series. In winter, there's the Snowball Derby, plus a host of other events, from kids' bike races to demolition derbies to their Night of Champions. For racing fans in Pensacola, this is the place to be.

  • American Magic - 700 S. Barracks St., Pensacola, FL 32502
When you think about spectator sports, yacht racing probably isn't the first place your mind goes. But the America's Cup competition is a tradition that dates back to before the modern Olympics, and the American Magic team is one of the best. While officially the team of the New York Yacht Club and competing worldwide, they make their home in Florida, and you can watch them practice in Pensacola Bay. They have both men's and women's teams training for the America's Cup and performing truly astounding feats of sailing. If you're into boating and watersports or want to spend an exciting day on the Bay, American Magic is fun to watch.

  • Sun Belt Conference - 201 E. Gregory St., Pensacola, FL 32502
The Sun Belt Conference Basketball Championship is one of the most exciting tournaments in college basketball. In fact, it's two of the most exciting tournaments; both men's and women's divisions compete between March 4th and March 10th. That's 26 total games between 14 teams over 7 days at the Pensacola Bay Center, with the winners going on to the NCAA Tournament. The week also features a variety of other entertainment, from performances by team bands and cheer squads to a dribble drive and much more. For college basketball fans, it's an event not to be missed.

This is just the beginning of the Pensacola sports scene. There are many sporting events to attend at any time of year. Contact us if you're ready to make Pensacola your new home. We'll help you find a house you'll love in a neighborhood with everything you need.
